  • Men's Soccer to Host Prospect Camp

    UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team and Head Coach Cale Wassermann have announced they will be hosting a Men's Soccer Prospect Camp on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013. The camp is for high school men's soccer athletes or current college students, and will take place in the Ryder Center on the campus of SVSU from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm, with registration at 9:00 am. Camp will be limited to the first 60 players (54 field players/6 Goalkeepers).

    UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer head coach Cale Wassermann has been named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Coach of the Year, announced in Indianapolis on Friday evening (Jan. 18). Wassermann, in just his third season, becomes the first ever NSCAA National Coach of the Year in program history.

    ANSAS CITY, Kan. — Saginaw Valley State University captain Zach Myers (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern HS) was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division II Player of the Year, the NSCAA announced today (Dec. 10). Myers becomes the first Cardinal to be named the NSCAA National Player of the Year. NSCAA awards are voted on by head men's soccer coaches across the country.

    KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team placed two athletes on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division II All-American Team for the first time in school history. Senior forward Zach Myers (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern HS) was named to the first team, while senior goalkeeper Jason Wise (Troy, Mich.) was selected to the third team today (Dec. 4).
