SVSU Softball swept Ferris State to end the regular season and earn a share of the GLIAC regular season title with Grand Valley. The Cardinals are the #2 seed going into the GLIAC tournament in Rosemont, Illinois. It is the first time that Saginaw Valley softball has finished first in the GLIAC since 2009 and the team has a chance to win three straight GLIAC Tournament titles.
SVSU Baseball clinched a share of the GLIAC regular season title this past weekend with a chance to win it outright with one win in their last four remaining games. The Cardinals have locked up the #1 seed in the GLIAC tournament which takes place at Jackson Field in Lansing, Michigan the weekend after the regular season ends.

SVSU Baseball senior Hayden Jatczak went 3-for-4 and was a single short of the cycle in a 12-5 win over Northwood at Dow Diamond. Jatczak's solo home run in the 4th inning broke the single season RBI record for SVSU. His 59th RBI on the year surpassed Kraig Enders 58 in 2000. Jatczak and Piotrowicz spoke about the milestone and looking forward to the final two weeks of the season as the team pushes for the #1 seed in the GLIAC Tournament in May.
