GAME 1 – SVSU 3 – DAVENPORT 0

Emily Depew (W, 14-6) got the start inside the circle for game one. Depew pitched all seven innings only allowing one hit and striking out 10 hitters to achieve her fourth shutout win of the season.

Aalana Kimble scored the game's final run with a two-out double to center field that scored Natalie Savage and the Cardinals were up 3-0 after two innings.

The Panthers (13-27, 5-13 GLIAC) threatened in the sixth inning as they loaded the bases with one out. Depew struck the next batter out and forced another to fly out to escape the inning unscathed.

GAME 2 – SVSU 4 – DAVENPORT 2

Muench started at pitcher for the Cardinals in game two. She went six innings and struck out three DU hitters. Depew (W, 15-6) earned the win in relief as she entered the game in the seventh inning with a 2-2 tie.

Muench singled through the right side and advanced to second on a Panther error that allowed Kimble to score and give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead.

Davenport tied the score in the fourth inning with a double down the left-field line. Kimble recaptured the lead with a sacrifice fly to left field that scored Purdy in the bottom half of the inning for the 2-1 edge.

The Panthers followed suit in the fifth with a sacrifice fly of their own to tie the score at two runs apiece.

Both teams held the other scoreless for the next three innings as the game moved into the ninth. Depew struck out the first hitter before a ground out and a fly out ended the top half.

Olivia Sabin went up to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the ninth and singled with a hard-hit ball to second base, setting the stage for Campagna to walk things off. Campagna did not disappoint, as she drilled a home run to right center field and the Cardinals ended game two with a 4-2 victory.
