Five student-athletes set to represent SVSU at NCAA Outdoor Championships

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University track and field team will have five student-athletes competing at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships from Grand Valley State University on May 26-28. 

On the women's side, Cheyenne Williamson will compete in the heptathlon, 100-meter hurdles, long jump, and high jump. She is the defending national champion in the heptathlon. Alona Olshevska will run both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. She earned All-American honors in both events at the NCAA Indoor Championship meet in March. In the 10,000-meter run, Arianna Wegienka will represent SVSU. 

CarLee Stimpfel and Dayton Brown will both compete in the men's 10,000-meter run for the Cardinals. Stimpfel will also compete in the 5000-meter run. 

The NCAA Outdoor Championship meet will begin at 10:30 am on May 26 from Grand Valley State University.
