2024 Saginaw Valley State University Gameday of Giving

CLICK HERE TO DONATE (OPEN NOW)!

SVSU Athletics provides $3.2 million annually in scholarships while providing educational opportunities to more than 500 student-athletes, who compete in 20 different sports at the NCAA Division II level. That scholarship total represents 35 percent of the Athletic Department’s operating budget.

Your “GameDay of Giving” contributions provide critical funds in support of scholarships and operational expenses, like team travel, recruiting, pre- and postgame meals, sports nutrition, mental health awareness, locker room and facility upgrades, “Life Skills” programming, and equipment.

Team travel expenses (transportation and hotel accommodations) have increased 30-40 percent over the last two years. Your gift can be allocated to the Athletics Department general fund or distributed to your favorite sport(s) to help offset these increased costs.

We celebrate the way we play the game at the NCAA Division II level because the student-athlete model is alive and well at Saginaw Valley. Your financial support will enhance our ability to provide Cardinal student-athletes with a “Championship Experience” as they pursue excellence in the classroom and competition while striving to become difference-makers in our local communities.

Fewer than 2 percent of all NCAA participants have an opportunity to participate in professional sports, so through our mission to provide a “Championship Experience,” SVSU student-athletes are well prepared for success and positioned for leadership roles long after their competitive careers are over.

Your philanthropic gifts provide SVSU Athletics with the resources necessary in support of our mission while helping our program remain competitive in the Great Lakes Athletics Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), the nation’s premier NCAA Division II conference.

Every gift matters. Your investment helps transform the lives of Cardinal student-athletes.
