MIDLAND, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University cross country teams competed at Northwood University on Friday in a pre-conference tune-up meet. 

On the men's side, John Buck was the first SVSU runner to cross in the men's 8k race in third place with a time of 26:55.1. Cooper Lenzi finished in 15th for the Cardinals with a time of 28:21.2. 

In the women's 5k race, the Cardinals finished in second place as a team with 68 points. Aubree Sedore led SVSU with a time of 20:36.3 in sixth place. Behind her, Jessica Jablonski finished in 17th place with a time of 22:10.7. Right behind in 18th place was Jordyn Elders in 22:21.2, while Emily Buska finished 19th with a time of 22:31.5. Completing the scoring for SVSU was Grace Kendziorski in 21st place with a time of 23:48.8.

SVSU will host the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at 11 AM next Saturday on the SVSU Cross Country Course.
