Five Cardinals Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Five Saginaw Valley State University Cross Country student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for their performances on the course and in the classroom for the 2016 season. 

In order to be eligible for the national all-academic honors, the student-athletes must have compiled at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have finished in the top 30 percent of his or her regional championships and/or the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.

On the men's side, Clyde Anderson (3.933), Joey Southgate (3.422) and Nate Frasier (3.944) earned the honor while Allison Dorr (3.936) and Christina Micale (3.833) represented the Cardinals on the women's side. 

Southgate finished 11th in the 2015 NCAA Division II Midwest Regionals, with Frasier finishing 57th and Anderson posting a 59th place finish. Dorr crossed the line in 14th place for the women and Micale was 55th.
