2012-13: Recorded five top-ten finishes in seven events on the year for the Cardinals...competed in the 6k at the NCAA DII National Championships and crossed the line in 20th place with a season-best time of 21:06...clocked her fastest 5k time of 17:38.9 at the Michigan Intercollegiate and finished in fourth place...finished a season-best third overall in the 5k at the Lansing Community College Invitational with a time of 18:20.9...selected as a 2012 DII Cross Country All-American by the USTFCCCA...named to the All-GLIAC Second team and the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence team.

Prior to SVSU/Personal: Prepped at Tawas Area High School…holds the school record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:44…was captain of the cross country team during her senior campaign and was a three-year captain of the track and field team…earned all-conference, all-region, and All-State honors in both track and field and cross country…was a member of NHS and the math challenge team…named to the Academic All-State cross country team and earned Academic All-State individual honors…was on the honor roll…majoring in nursing…daughter of the Robert and Amy Short…born 8/31/93.
