MIDLAND, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State
University women’s cross-country team competed in their first
meet of the season today (Sept. 11) at Northwood University.
The Lady Cardinals finished their 5K run with four girls in the
top ten, led by sophomore Ashley Meyer (Shepherd,
Mich.), who finished third overall with a time of 19:56. Following
Meyer was Megan
Miller (Monroe, Mich.), who came in with a final time of 20:39,
placing sixth. Lauren Hill (Flat Rock,
Mich.), Kayla
Duke (Linden, Mich.), and Stephanie McMall
(Bay City, Mich. / Bay City Western HS) ended their first meet
finishing, respectively, in ninth, 10th, and 14th places.
The Cardinals’ next competition will be held on September
18th at 1:00pm at Michigan State University.
