Cardinals Compete on Final Day of NCAA Outdoor Championships

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's track and field team competed on the final day of the NCAA DII Outdoor Championship this afternoon (May 25).

The Cardinals had just two athletes participating in events on the final day of the outdoor championships.  Sophomore Emerald Joiner (Saginaw, Mich./Arthur Hill HS) competed in the shot put and finished in 13th place with a throw of 13.77 meters.  Sophomore Emily Short (Tawas, Mich.) ran in the 5000 meters and finished 16th, crossing the line in a time of 18:05.36.

With the completion of the meet the Cardinals end their outdoor season.
