Tennis Falls in Tight Battle With Ferris State

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Ferris State on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals (3-9, 2-2 GLIAC) won three singles matches but couldn't snag the fourth point needed to claim the win over the Bulldogs (6-2, 3-1 GLIAC).

Adriana Barrio won at number one singles by scoring 6-2, 6-1, to tie the score at one point each. Nicoletta Diamantopoulos also won 6-2, 6-1, in the number four singles matchup. Her sister, Anastasia Diamantopoulos, grabbed the third point at number six singles in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 6-2).
