MIDLAND, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team suffered a 4-3 loss against Northwood at the Midland Tennis Center on Sunday.
The Timberwolves took the number one and two doubles contests to pull out a 1-0 lead before Adriana Barrio tied the score with her win in number one singles against Rafaela Platsiota.
The score moved to 3-2 when Northwood won two and three singles, while the Cardinals earned a point at six. Lydia Liong tied things at three with her win over Brigitte Gomez at four singles, but the Timberwolves won the number five singles match.
UP NEXT: The Cardinal tennis team will have a week off before beginning the Spring Break games on Monday, March 3. To kick off the five-match trip, SVSU will face Carnegie Melon and Bowling Green.
