HOUGHTON, Mich. --The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team traveled to the Upper Peninsula where the Cardinals battled host Michigan Tech to a scoreless draw in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday evening at Sherman Field at Kearly Stadium.
SVSU settles to 3-2-2 overall while the Huskies now stand at 3-3-1 on the season. Both teams are 1-1-1 in the GLIAC.
How it Happened:
- SVSU generated the most offense by outshooting Tech 13-9 and 5-3 on goal.
- The Cardinals also had five of the seven corner kicks in the contest.
- SVSU had a couple of good looks late in the contest as Larissa Barnett and Kylie Lukowski had their shots stopped by the keeper in the 83rd and 85th minutes.
- The Cardinals held the Huskies without a shot on goal for the final 15 minutes.

- Stephanie Strong led SVSU with three shots while MTU's Stephanie Yeager matched her.
- Kennedi Pugh made three saves in the SVSU goal to enjoy her second shutout of 2022.
