Saginaw Valley Falls in Regional Action to Ferris State, 2-1

UNIVERSITY CENTER — The Saginaw Valley State Women's Soccer team took on Ferris State University in a regional action matchup at Braddock Field Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs would go on to take the victory, 2-1, giving #13 SVSU Cardinals their first loss of the season.

SVSU falls to 3-1-1 overall, while Ferris State heads to 5-1.

Ferris State led the first half of the contest against the Cardinals. At the 31' mark of action, the Bulldogs posted one in the back of the net taking the lead, 1-0.

FSU's offense stayed aggressive for the remainder of the half, finding a shot between the posts one final time, pushing the lead to 2-0 at the halftime break.

Former GLIAC defensive player of the week, Amanda Minissale, nodded a shot in the goal from Abby Babon at the 53' mark of action. Minissale's second goal of the season cuts the Bulldog lead in half as the Cardinals trailed 2-1.

Even with Saginaw Valley posting adding three in shots on goal in the final half, they were unable to notch in another after the ninety-minute action had concluded.
