Megan Thiravong Leads Cardinals at William Beall Invitational

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf program played three rounds at the Findlay Country Club in the William Beall Invitational hosted by the University of Findlay on Monday and Tuesday. The Cardinals took 11th place out of 18 teams with a total score of 928 with rounds of 311, 300, and 317.

Megan Thiravong led the team placing 17th out of 93 golfers. Thiravong shot eight over with rounds of 74, 71, and 79. Brook Herbstreit was two strokes behind with rounds of 78, 72, and 76 as she 19th. Marissa GeRue started with a round of 76 Monday morning before following up with two rounds of 80, one on Monday afternoon and one on Tuesday, for a total of 236. Christina Nagy had rounds of 83, 77, and 82 to finish with a final score of 242. Hannah Hauser rounded out the team with rounds of 85, 80, and 84 for a 249 finish.

Up Next: Saginaw Valley women's golf heads to Grand Rapids, Michigan this weekend for the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite hosted by Grand Valley State University. The team will play at The Meadows on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6.
