GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team finished the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invitational with a 36-hole score of +83 to finish ahead of five teams that competed in the event. The Cardinals were 12 strokes ahead of seventh Northwood to claim their final placing.

Brook Herbstreit led the way for SVSU as she tied for ninth after a two-round total of 154 (82+72). Sydney Wesson registered a top-20 finish when she tied for 15^th with a tally of 160 (75+85). Amanda Ehrlich tied for 17^th with a score of 161 (78+83). Megan Thiravong finished with 167 (82+85) to tie for 30^th on the individual standings. Hannah Hauser tied in 38^th with a 171 (86+85) and Megan Kowalski was 50^th with a 177 (91+86) to round out the scoring for the Cardinals.

SVSU continues their weekend with a two-day tournament at Ferris State that begins on Sunday, September 24.
