Women’s Golf Places 8th at Champions of Women’s Golf Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team finished the two-day Champions of Women's Golf Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio in eighth place with a team score of 628 (313+315).

Megan Kozlowski led the way for the Cardinals with a two-day total of 155 after rounds of 78 and 77. That score was good enough for 18th in the individual standings. Megan Thiravong tied for 21st with a 157 after she also shot 77 on day two. Sydney Wesson finished with 160 to tie for 35th. Amanda Ehrlich (166) and Hannah Hauser (167) tied for 52nd and 56th. Brook Herbstreit rounded out the top six scores for SVSU with a 171 to tie for 64th.

The team will travel to GVSU next week for a two-day tournament hosted by the Lakers beginning Friday, September 22.
