BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team won the Lady Bulldog Invite hosted by Ferris State University on Saturday at the Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.
The Cardinals carded a two-round score of 612 (310, 302), finishing eight strokes ahead of the second-place team from Ferris State. The team victory is the first for SVSU since October 2019.
The Cardinals were led by Emily O'Brien, who finished tied for sixth with a score of 152. Brook Herbstreit and Mandy Ehrlich closed the two-round event in a tie for eighth with a 154.
Rachel Krieger was tied for 11th with a 155, while Megan Kozlowski was tied for 23rd with a 158.
SVSU will be right back on the course with the opening day of the Laker Invite hosted by Grand Valley State University on Sunday in Allendale, Mich.
