Megan McCalla Named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball sophomore forward Megan McCalla was named Offensive Player of the Week by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) office on Monday.

McCalla led the Cardinals offensively with 43 points shooting 20-35 from the floor. She added 11 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two blocks as well as SVSU fell to Wayne State 71-67 and defeated Roosevelt 80-64. McCalla averages 17.8 points per game and is the top-scorer in the GLIAC.

This is McCalla's first GLIAC Player of the Week award in her career and SVSU's first Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2024-25 season. It is the program's second with one Defensive Player of the Week award in week seven.
