NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region teams on Wednesday. The Saginaw Valley State University men's track and field team had seven athletes announced to the All-Midwest Region squad, with four earning a spot as individuals and one relay team being named as well.
Sawyer Moloy was the highest-ranked Cardinal on the list at second in the region, as well as all of NCAA D2, in the high jump. Moloy cleared the bar at 2.18m, an SVSU outdoor record, at the Spartan Invite on April 4.
The Cardinal 4x100 relay team of Trevor Culpepper, Quin Broussard, Jordon Brown, and Matthew Gazzarato earned a spot on the All-Midwest Region list. The relay team was ranked third in the region after their record-breaking time of 40.25 seconds set at the Hillsdale College Tune-Up meet back on April 25.
Jordon Brown also made the list as an individual in the men's 400m. Brown's time of 46.85 seconds he clocked at the GLIAC Championships, ranked him fourth in the region and broke the SVSU school record in the process.
Jack Lobodzinski finished the outdoor season ranked fourth in the men's 5k after his time of 14:05.21, which he registered at the WashU Distance Carnival back in March. The time is Lobodzinski's collegiate PR.
Xavier Santiago finished fourth in the region in the high jump with his best mark of 2.14m that he cleared at the Lee University – Fast Break Athletics Invitation on April 11. Santiago won the GLIAC Outdoor High Jump Crown and currently ranks sixth in the nation in the event.
Both Moloy and Santiago will compete in the high jump at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships taking place at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado, from May 22-24.
