Members of SVSU Track and Field Team Compete at Three Meets This Weekend

Select members of the Saginaw Valley State University track and field team competed in three different meets this weekend. Both women's relay teams competed in the Hillsdale 13 Last Chance meet on Thursday.

The women's 4x100 Relay of Sophia Thelen, Alona Olshevska, Angelina Delbosque, and Cheyenne Nesbitt set an NCAA Division II provisional mark of 45.22 to win the race.

The women's 4x400 Relay consisting of Trinity Greer, Alona Olshevska, Cassie Campbell, and Cheyenne Nesbitt won the relay with a provisional time of 3:42.29.

Jenna Picard ran the 800 at the Dillard Twilight hosted by Baldwin Wallace. Picard placed 14th with a finish of 2:17.06.

The final stop was Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee for a Last Chance meet. Campbell made the trip to finish fifth in both the 100 and 400 hurdles. She reached a provisional time in the 100 hurdles after a time of 14.07 seconds. She clocked a 1:02.67 in the 400 hurdles.

Dominic Suliman also reached a provisional time in the 1500 with a third-place time of 3:43.41.

Thomas Hufton was the final Cardinal to compete. Hufton ran the 5K and registered a time of 15:02.95 to place 25th in the race.
