EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Saginaw Valley State University track and field teams competed at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Michigan State University on Friday and Saturday. There were no team scores recorded for this meet. 

Women's Highlights:

• Angelina Delbosque took first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.46 seconds.
• In the 4x100-meter relay, the team of Delbosque, Alona Olshevska, Sophia Thelen, and Olivia Carpenter took third place with a time of 47.56 seconds. 
• Lauren Buckner won the 1500-meter race, crossing the line in 4:34.77.
• The 4x400-meter relay team consisting of Buckner, Jenna Picard, Kailee Sandoval, and Emma Banning took home first place with a time of 4:03.35. 

Men's Highlights:

• Trevin Phillips earned fourth in the javelin throw with a toss of 53.51 meters.
• Freshman Corey Bowers took fourth place in the 1500-meter race with a time of 3:50.00.
• Seth Oxer was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.50 seconds.
• In the final event, the 4x400-meter relay team of Quin Broussard, Ryan Mixon, Tyler Burrell, and Ja'kobe Young took first place, crossing the line in 3:25.06.

SVSU will send student-athletes to both the Lee Flames Invitational hosted by Lee University and the Golden Grizzly Invitational hosted by Oakland University next Friday and Saturday.
