McGill finishes 17th on 1-Meter at NCAA DII Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Saginaw Valley State University diving team was represented on day one of the NCAA DII National Championships on Wednesday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

SVSU sophomore Adrien McGill competed for the Cardinals in the men's 1-meter diving after advancing through the qualification dive on Tuesday. McGill, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Diver of the Year, finished 17th on the 1-meter board with a total score of 361.15.

McGill will return to the pool for the 3-Meter dive on Friday. Up next for the Cardinals, senior Libby Caird will compete for the SVSU women in the 3-meter dive on Thursday in Greensboro.
