SVSU competes at Michigan and GVSU

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University swimming and diving teams sent athletes to the First Chance Meet at the University of Michigan, and the Grand Valley State University Diving Invitational on Saturday.

Men's Highlights:

  • Adrien McGill finished second in the 1-meter dive with 445.05 points.
  • Corbin Montpas also competed at GVSU, finishing third in the 1-meter dive with 431.18 points, and winning the 3-meter dive with 284.78 points after six dives. 
  • At Michigan, Alejandro Robles Ruiz won his 100-meter freestyle time trial with a time of 44.37 seconds.
  • The team of Ruiz, Josh Rottier, Joao Pedro Noguera, and Sanders Modglin finished with a time of 1:22.35 in the 200-yard freestyle relay time trial.

SVSU will now prepare for the NCAA DII National Championships next month in Greensboro, North Carolina.
