Spectator Guidelines for  GLIAC Swimming & Diving Championships

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University has adjusted its pandemic-related spectator policy and will allow limited spectator seating at the 2022 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships Feb. 4-7.

SVSU has allotted each participating team an equal, but limited, number of tickets to disperse to fans.  The following guidelines have been established:

  • Participating teams must provide a list of names of fans attending for each day of the event. Lists must be provided by the institutions to SVSU prior to the day of event attendance. Fans will be required to present a photo ID to be admitted. Individuals not on the list will not be granted admission to the event. Doors will open 90 minutes prior to the first event of each day of the competition. Fans are not permitted to bring their own chairs to the standing-room area.
  • All tickets will be sold on-site on the day of the event. No advance ticket sales or tournament passes. Ticket prices will be $22 per day for adults, $20 for seniors (65 and over), $6 for youth (ages 6-12), children 5 and under are free.
  • Spectators ages 12 years and older must present proof of vaccination or a recent negative PCR test. A negative PCR result must be dated no more than 72 hours prior to the first date of the competition, which is no earlier than Tuesday, Feb. 1. Test results must be provided prior to admission, and results from Feb. 1 will suffice for all four days of the meet. A positive COVID-19 test within 90 days from the date of attendance will be accepted for admission to the event as long as proper quarantine time has expired. No on-site testing will be available. At-home tests will not be accepted. Those experiencing COVID -19 symptoms should remain home.
  • All spectators, event staff, and participants (except when actively competing) must be masked at all times in accordance with SVSU policy.
  • Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow additional time for entry and verification.

All four days of the GLIAC Championships will be streamed live by SVSU with pay-per-view access on www.gliac.org. Daily streaming is $7.99 and the all-events pass is $29.99.
