BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Libby Caird competed for the Saginaw Valley State University diving team for the final time this season in the 3-meter event at the 2021 NCAA DII National Championships Saturday at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
The senior from Jenison, Mich., finished 12th out of 16 divers in the finals of the 3-meter championship, scoring 415.25 points.
"Libby competed very well on 3 meter today finishing in 12th place," SVSU Diving Coach Joseph Gucwa said. "She became the first SVSU diver to be an All-American honorable mention (top 16) on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. I am very proud of the adversity that she has overcome throughout this COVID year and look forward to having her come back next year!
The Cardinal season comes to a close with Justin Ott competing for the men in the 1-meter diving event on Saturday.
