HOLLAND, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University swimming and diving teams opened competition at the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Wednesday at the Holland Community Aquatic Center in Holland, Mich.

The opening day was highlighted by the performance of the Cardinal men's 200-yard medley relay team, which finished in fourth place. The team of Mason Hooker, Christian Rottier, Evan Lindquist and Joshua Hamilton finished in a time of 1:30.96, setting a new SVSU school record in the event.
