Steve Bohn enters his third season as the SVSU softball team's assistant coach. Bohn is responsible for the Cardinals' pitching and catching efforts.
During his two seasons, Bohn has helped SVSU to a third-consecutive GLIAC Tournament Championship, a GLIAC regular season title, and a third NCAA Regional appearance. He also helped lead four-time first-team All-GLIAC pitcher Emily Depew to two of her best seasons at SVSU as she had the most wins and the best Earned Run Average as a starter. Depew was also named the 2024 GLIAC Pitcher of the Year under Bohn's guidance.
Bohn was an assistant coach at USA High School from 2019-2022. He helped the team win back-to-back state championships. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School from 2012-16. During his tenure, the team made the state championship four years in a row, winning their last two appearances in 2015 and 2016. He had an overall record of 198-20 as the head coach.
As a player, Bohn was a catcher at Western Michigan University from 1983-86 and played men's major fastpitch from 1986-98. He was inducted into the USA Softball of Michigan Hall of Fame in 2020.
