UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State junior pitcher Macy Irelan was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) pitcher of the week for the third consecutive time.

Irelan had another great week in the circle for the Cardinals. She added three starts, completing all three appearances, with three wins while allowing only two runs, and totaled 28 strikeouts in those appearances. Irelan now has the lowest ERA in the GLIAC with 1.03, the fewest allowed hits with 18 and runs with 10, and leads the league with 64 strikeouts and a K/7 mark of 11.6. Her seven-inning average ranks fifth in the country.
