LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2024 Easton-NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors on Tuesday (August 6) afternoon. Thirteen Cardinal softball players helped make up the 8,054 collegiate student-athletes on the list.
A total of 13 SVSU softball players made the list, with seven making the list for the second consecutive season including 2024 seniors Maddie Campagna, Sydney Herioux, Paige Kolinski, Sara Moos, and Alyssa Muench. Sophomores Emily Beckas and Katelyn Pnacek also made both the 2023 and 2024 lists.
Senior Emily Depew and juniors Anna Palmiter and Olivia Sabin received NFCA Scholar-Athlete status for the first time in their careers. Newcomers Faith Maloney, Ella Reifschneider, and Evelynn Rybicki completed their debut seasons for the Cardinals with this honor.
The Easton-NFCA Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize the academic prowess of softball players across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division II totaled 1,510 student-athletes meeting the requirement of having a 3.5 GPA or higher.
