Eleven SVSU Softball Players Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2023 All-America Scholar-Athletes in NCAA Division II.

Emily Beckas, Madison Campagna, Sarah Gersch, Sydney Herioux, Paige Kolinski, Sara Moos, Alyssa Muench, Kate Pnacek, Jackie Popko, Ella Schneider, and Margot Van Eijl were the 11 members of the Saginaw Valley State University softball squad to receive the honor.

"As a coaching staff, we are extremely proud of the work our student-athletes do in the classroom," said SVSU softball head coach Ryan Schalk. "Of course, we want to compete on the field, but more importantly, we are using softball as a vehicle for success after graduation. With the expectations for prospective student-athletes we are bringing into the program, we expect to see this list grow and see our team in the top 10 list for team GPA."

To be named an Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
