DEXTER - The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country team competed in the Eastern Michigan University Fall Classic meet Friday (10/24) at the Hudson Mills Metropark.

Finishing at the top for Saginaw Valley was junior Joey Southgate, crossing the finish line with a time of 15:22 in 10th place.  Freshman Tom Goforth was next for the Cardinals in 36th place at the 16:04 mark.  Placing 45th was Andrew Middleton in a time of 16:12.

Also competing for the Cardinals was junior David Jenson, taking 52nd at the 16:25 mark.  Clyde Anderson and Eli Poth were next for Saginaw Valley, taking 56th (16:33) and 60th (16:40), respectively.  Sophomore Thomas Kean placed 66th in a time of 16:44.

Saginaw Valley will return to action November 8th to compete in the GLIAC Championships hosted by Wayne State in Detroit.
