Saginaw Valley Men Place 10th at Regional Meet

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country team finished in 10th place at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional meet.

The Cardinal men were paced by Tyler Noble (Shepherd, Mich.) who finished with a time of 32:19 in  49th position as Joseph Burelle (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Stevenson HS) came in close behind with a mark of 32:30 in 58th place.

Eric Spitz (Holt, Mich.) was next for the Cardinals with the same time as Burelle (32:30) to end up in 60th position as SVSU used pack running techniques. 

Tony Peel (Swartz Creek, Mich.) followed as he completed the race in 32:39 and in 65th, while Chad Scott (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills Eastern HS) ran the course in 32:48 to place in 74th position. 

The Cardinal lineup was rounded out by Drew Meylan (Bay City, Mich. / Western HS) with a time of 33:05 (83rd) and Jacob Lauka (Oxford, Mich. / Lake Orion HS) with a mark of 33:21 (98th).

This concludes the 2012 fall schedule for the SVSU men's cross country team as they look forward to the upcoming indoor track and field season.
