Ed Skrelunas is currently in his third season on the SVSU coaching staff after retiring as principal of Clio High School. Skrelunas has served as head coach for track & field and cross country at Bridgeport High School, Warren Lincoln High School, Freeland High School and Clio High School. From 1977-83 he served as a part-time assistant coach at Saginaw Valley State University. During this time he was involved in recruiting and coaching over 40 student-athletes who earned All-American honors in NAIA. The track and cross country teams gained national recognition during this time winning the NAIA National Indoor Track Championship in 1982 and 1983.
Skrelunas earned a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and a master's degree from Michigan State University. Skrelunas resides in Saginaw.
