Men's Track & Field Competes in Final Day of GLIAC Indoor Championships

UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University men's indoor track & field team finished up competition at the 2015 GLIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday (Mar. 1).  The men finished in seventh place overall in the event with 27 points.

Andrew Mudd highlighted the day for SVSU, as the sophomore finished runner-up in the Heptathlon with a total of 5,153 points.   It was a personal best for Mudd in the event.

D'Omar Boyden had a 5th place showing in the 60 Meter Hurdles Finals, crossing the line with a provisional time of 8.19 seconds.  

Frank Sanders also had a 5th place showing, crossing the bar in the High Jump with a height of 1.99 meters.  Teammate Robert Tarpley was 9th in the Triple Jump with a mark of 14.07 meters.

Joey Southgate was 11th in the Mile Run, posting a time of 4:19.70 and Devin Hartnagle was 14th in the Weight Throw, tossing it a distance of 16.84 meters.

The Cardinals await final standings for the 2015 NCAA Indoor National Championships, which are taking place from March 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama.
