Track & Field Teams Hit Provisional Marks at Hillsdale Classic

HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University track & field teams competed at the Hillsdale Classic outdoor meet on Thursday (May 8) in one of the last chance meets for the 2014 season.  Among many solid times posted, the Cardinals had several NCAA Division II Provisional qualifying times.

For the men in the decathlon, Andrew Mudd had a provisional total of 6,284 points.  Mudd now has the 41st ranked mark nationally in the event.

For the women, the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Shavonne Roberson, Ola Hendler, Diamond Taylor and Kimberly Balls posted a time of 3:47.42.  The relay team has the 33rd ranked time in the nation.

Anna Fochesato cleared the bar at a height of 5'7.25" in the high jump.  She is currently 14th on the national list.

The Cardinals will attempt to post more national marks at the GVSU Last Chance meets on Friday and Saturday.
