Jayden Cameron Named to D2CCA All-Midwest Region Team

PAINSVILLE, Ohio – Saginaw Valley State University redshirt senior forward Jayden Cameron was named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team on Tuesday.

The Brampton, Ontario native has led the Cardinals in the 2024 season with career high nine goals, three assists, and career high 21 points. SVSU men's soccer shared the GLIAC regular season title and won the GLIAC tournament with Cameron scoring the game-winning-goal in the semifinals and the tying goal in the championships, where they went on to win in PKs.

Head coach Louis Barrow had this to say about Cameron,

"Jayden has been a big moment player for us this season. He has come up big in massive games and scored some super important goals. He has the ability to win any game and has been integral to our success."

The Cardinals are making a run in the NCAA DII Men's Soccer Championships as the No. 1 seed in the Super Region 3. They bested Rogers State in PKs on Sunday and host Tiffin on Sunday, December 1 in the third round of the tournament.
