Men’s Soccer Drops Rematch of GLIAC Championship Against Purdue Northwest

HAMMOND, Ind. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer program last met Purdue Northwest in the GLIAC Championship last year and fell 1-0. The Cardinals (4-4-0, 1-3-0 GLIAC) saw a repeat of that match with a 1-0 loss to the Pride (4-3-2, 1-2-2 GLIAC) Sunday afternoon.

The lone goal in the match came in the 85th minute as these two teams played scoreless for most of the match. Nick Kay started in goal for SVSU and stopped four of the five shots he faced in the loss. Tomas Rozman started for Purdue Northwest and stopped both shots on goal by the Cardinals.

SVSU was outshot 13-8 as the Pride had five on goal and the Cardinals had two. Jayden Cameron led in offensive chances with three shots and had both of SVSU's shots on target. Elliot Nottoli and Felix Tom both had two shots as well as Evan Baker had one. Christian Booth scored the only goal and was assisted by Michael Miljevic.
