UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University junior forward Jonathan Monney was named the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) on Monday afternoon.

Monney scored the lone goal for the Cardinals in a 1-1 tie with 7th-ranked Gannon while leading the team with four shots, two of which were on target. He is the scoring leader for the Cardinals this season with five goals for 10 points. He currently has a total of 12 shots on goal and a percentage of .667.

This is the first Player of the Week award for Monney and the second award of the season for the men's soccer team.

Monney and the Cardinal men's soccer team will face Parkside at home on Friday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m.
