FINDLAY, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf program wrapped up their Fall competition Monday and Tuesday with three rounds at the Doc Spragg Invitational hosted by the University of Findlay. The team took 15th out of 19 teams with rounds of 294, 299, and 304 for a total of 897 (+33) at the Findlay Country Club.
Shea Harmeson led the team finishing tied for 27th out of 100 golfers with rounds of 71, 74, and 75 for a total of 220 (+4). He had nine birdies, four of which were on his best round as he birdied hole four every round.
Joey Per followed as he was tied for 34th place with rounds of 69, 75, and 77 for a total of 221 (+5). His round of 69 was the best by a Cardinal over the 54 holes. Per had 10 birdies, six of which came in the first round.
Ethan Swenson was a stroke behind, tying for 37th place with rounds of 72, 75, and 75 for a total of 222 (+6). He totaled eight birdies with four in the first round and two of them on hole 18.
Jiseung Choi rounded out the team scoring with rounds of 82, 75, and 77 for a total of 234 (+18). Choi tallied six birdies with two on the par five, hole 15.
Thomas Keyte wrapped up the Cardinals team with rounds of 82, 76, and 79 for a total of 237 (+21). Keyte had four birdies during the tournament with three coming in his second round.
