BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf program had two rounds at the Bedford Valley Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday at the Davenport Invitational. The team took third of 12 with rounds of 282 and 294 for a total of 576 (E).
Thomas Keyte led the team with rounds of 70 and 72 for a total of 142 (-2). He finished tied for second out of 70 golfers as he had nine birdies over 36 holes. Joey Per and Shea Harmeson both shot even and finished tied for sixth. Per shot two rounds of 72 for a total of 144 (E) totaling four birdies. Harmeson shot a 68 and a 76 to finish 144 (E) with seven birdies over the weekend. Ethan Swenson finished 22nd with rounds of 72 and 77 for a total of 149 (+5) as he had five birdies in his first round. Jiseung Choi rounded out the team with rounds of 81 and 74 for a total of 155 (+11).
Men's golf had two individuals along with the team as Evan Klein finished 43rd and Michael Zanoni was tied for 46th. Klein had rounds of 81 and 76 to total 157 (+13) and Zanoni had rounds of 82 and 76 for a final of 158 (+14).
