DEARBORN, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf program played two rounds at the TPC of Michigan in the Motor City Shakedown hosted by Wayne State on Monday and Tuesday. The Cardinals took second place with a total score of 577 after shooting one over.
SVSU was led by Jiseung Choi who shot one under with rounds of 71 and 72 to place third out of 53 golfers. Joey Per led the pack after the first-round shooting 68 (-4) on Monday and had a round of 77 on Tuesday to finish seventh. Shea Harmeson moved up 24 spots on Tuesday as he followed his round of 78 with a round of 68 on Tuesday.
Ethan Swenson placed 21st with rounds of 75 and 73 for a total of 148 as Thomas Keyte had rounds of 78 and 75 for 153. Evan Klein rounded out the team with a score of 158 after rounds of 75 and 83.
Up Next: Saginaw Valley men's golf has over a week off until they head to Beford, Michigan on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. The Cardinals will compete in the Davenport Fall Invitational at Bedford Valley Golf Course.
