PLYMOUTH, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf program continued their Fall 2024 competition with three rounds at the Hillsdale Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The Cardinals took fourth out of 10 teams moving up one spot after round three on Tuesday. The team shot +28 with a total score of 892 through 54 holes.
The team was led by Jiseung Choi who finished 15th and was +6 after rounds of 71, 73, and 78. Shea Harmeson and Thomas Keyte both were +8 and tied for 20th. Harmeson shot rounds of 75, 73, and 76 with Keyte shooting 79, 70, and 75. Keyte's round of 70 was the best for Saginaw Valley. Ethan Swenson followed with rounds of 79, 76, and 73 for a +12 finish. Joey Per rounded out the team with rounds of 80, 78, and 72 to shoot +14. SVSU sunk three eagles of the 16 made amongst the 60 golfers as Choi, Swenson, and Per tallied one each.
Up Next: Men's golf has some time off before heading to Dearborn, Michigan for the Motor City Shakedown hosted by Wayne State. Competition starts on Monday, September 30 from TPC of Michigan.
