Men's Golf sits in 9th after first round of Greyhound Invitational

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team opened play on Sunday at the Greyhound Invitational, hosted at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana. Saginaw Valley sits in a tie for ninth place after shooting an opening round score of 297, tying Indianapolis after 18 holes of play.

Ferris State leads after round one with a score of 282, sitting five strokes ahead of Missouri-St. Louis. 

Dustin Pumford led the Cardinals in the opening round, firing a two-under score of 70. He is tied for 7th place overall after carding four birdies on the day. 

Brady Dice is tied for 31st after his opening round score of 74 (+2) while Jared Lyons carded an opening round score of 76 (+4). Gunnar Stein rounded-out the team's scoring for Sunday, posting a five-over 77.

The Cardinals will return to play on day two Monday in Indiana.
