Toodles Seal Named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University senior guard Toodles Seal was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Game when the league announced the weekly awards this afternoon.

Seal had a career week for the Cardinals, averaging a double-double with 58 points and 22 rebounds in two games. He began the week by setting a new career-high for points in a game with 36 against Davenport and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Seal followed that up with 22 points and 12 rebounds against Grand Valley State to earn his second double-double in as many games, the fifth of the season. He currently leads SVSU in points per game (17.6), is third in the GLIAC, and is third on the team with 5.8 rebounds per game (10th in the GLIAC).

This is the first GLIAC Player of the Week award of Seal's career and the first weekly award for the Cardinal men's basketball team this season.

The Cardinals will wrap up their regular season with two home games. The first is on Thursday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. (ET) against Lake Superior State, followed by the final game on Saturday, March 1, at 3:00 p.m. (ET) against Ferris State.
