UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The matchups for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's basketball tournament are set. The Saginaw Valley State University men's basketball team clinched the six seed and will travel to Marquette, Michigan to face Northern Michigan University in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 1 at 5:30 p.m.

The Wildcats took both contests in the regular season with the first game at SVSU seeing the Cardinal rally from a 20-point deficit to fall 71-68. The meeting between Saginaw Valley State and NMU in Marquette was an 81-64 final earlier this month.
Freddie McIntosh was the leading scorer for SVSU in both games as he scored 42 points in the season series including a 26 points performance in the most recent matchup. Chansey Willis Jr. and Maurice Barnett hold double-digit averages along with McIntosh against Northern Michigan.
