Comments from Head Coach Ryan Brady:
"Overall, I'm very pleased with how we performed as a team. I thought our kids did an outstanding job at our youth camp and played with great energy, enthusiasm, and spirit in the Spring Red Feather Classic. The weather and field conditions made it challenging, and I thought our kids responded well to all of that. You never would have known it was 30 degrees, with high winds, and snow. And judging from the crowd we had today, you would have thought it was Sunny and 70 outside. Unbelievable, turnout, and support for our program right now. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our kids, we appreciate you all. We are as excited as you all are for 2022!"
"The Spring Game was very situationally oriented. I felt our kids did a nice job of processing and executing the situations on both sides of the football. Defensively, we tackled very well today. Offensively, I thought we played with good balance and protected the football. Lastly, we came away healthy which is always a concern. It was a great day for SVSU Football. The coaching staff and players were able to impact the young men in the community in a positive way at our Free Clinic & Camp. And serving others is what it is all about in our program. I would just like to thank the Fordney Club for its partnership on this event as well as Saginaw United and Head Coach Lee Arthur for all his help and assistance in having a fantastic turnout."
