- The SVSU football team travels to Ashland University on Saturday (10/11) for a 1:00 pm showdown with the Eagles at Jack Miller Stadium.  The Cardinals are looking for their second straight victory after defeating Northern Michigan last Saturday at Wickes Stadium by a score of 14-7.  The Eagles are 4-1 on the season and are coming off a 42-13 win over Malone University.  The last time Saginaw Valley and Ashland played was in 2011 when the Cardinals defeated the Eagles 27-6 on national TV.  SVSU last played at Ashland in 2010, the Eagles beat the Cardinals 30-24.
