BAY CITY - Saginaw Valley State University senior defensive end Murtada Jabbie was selected as the Week #5 GLIAC Defensive "Player of the Week" for his performance in the Cardinals' 14-7 victory over Northern Michigan University this past Saturday (10/4).

Jabbie led the defensive effort with a team-high eight tackles, but it was his late-game interception that he returned 48 yards for the game-winning touchdown with one minute left on the clock that sealed the victory for the Cards.

Saginaw Valley hits the road on Saturday (10/11) for a match-up with the Ashland University Eagles.  Kickoff for the game will be at 1:00 pm in Ashland, Ohio.
