UNIVERSITY CENTER, MICH. – The Saginaw Valley State University baseball team will host the NCAA Division II Baseball Midwest Regional #1 that runs from Thursday, May 16 through Saturday, May 18.
The Cardinals (39-15) invite former Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) members, Ashland and Northwood to campus for the three-team Midwest Regional.
The tournament kicks off on Thursday at 11 AM EST when the No. 4 Eagles (40-13) face the No. 5 Timberwolves (32-12) with the losing team playing top-seeded SVSU in the second game of day one at 2 PM EST.

The Cardinals haven't faced Ashland since March 10, 2022, in Four Corners, Florida. The Eagles pulled out a 4-1 win in that meeting.
